First Overall Draft Pick -- Tyler Vogrig of Vancouver
Vancouver Lacrosse player Tyler Vogrig is selected #1 over all in the January 27th Midget age Draft. Last Sunday Burnaby Junior A team selected Tyler over all other graduating Midget players in the province!
Tyler attends Vancouver Technical High school and has also played for Team BC when he was in Pee Wee’s, Bantam, and Midget. He won gold at last year’s national championships with last year’s U-16 Team BC team. He was named VKMLA’s graduating Midget player as well as the Zone 5 graduating Midget player. Tyler played his entire minor career with Vancouver and currently plays with the Vancouver U-16 field lacrosse team and you will see him next box season refereeing.
Other Vancouver players drafted are Vic Rai going to Nanaimo and Keanu Fernandez, a Vancouver resident who plays in New Westminster, was selected 3rd overall. Keanu’s younger brother plays for Vancouver. Congratulations to our drafted players.
