U13 Brings home the Silver!

A huge congratulations to our Vancouver Burrards U 13  Field Lacrosse Team for their Silver Medal in the 2018 BCLA Subway Provincial Field Lacrosse Championships, held in Burnaby this weekend.

This is a fantastic result for this Team, and our Association; a well – deserved honor.

Our Team battled through the pre-lims with a perfect 3-0 record. They got through Surrey in the Semi-Finals.

The Team ran into a strong New West squad in the final.

They gave it all they had, and the result was a well – fought 11-9 final score.

The entire VMLA Family would like to congratulate the U13  team for their inspired play, and their truly amazing season.

Provincial Medals of any colour are extremely difficult to get. We are all immensely proud of the efforts of the players and the parents for showing their support the entire weekend.

A special shout out to Coaches Sean McInnes, Mac Ginther, Christian Farstad, Tony Lucas, Tom Callaghan, Julie Ginther & Erik Trounce for winning the “Fair Play Coaches Award”.

Thank you for representing the VMLA with sportsmanship and class throughout the Tournament.
