The Midget boys are going to Provincials!! A big congratulations goes out to the team for taking PoCo down in 2 games. Tuesday win at Kits 8-3 and Wednesday win in PoCo in OT 7-6. And what a beautiful winning goal from Daniel Waibler, a fine example of good sportsmanship. The Midget tournament will be in Langley July 20-23. More details to come!

The* Novice A2* team will compete in the Jack Crosby Tournament this weekend in Burnaby. This is serious lacrosse folks, novice teams are travelling from far away…Calgary, St Catherines, Orangeville….. Let’s cheer the kids onto victory!
Vancouver games are:

  1. Thursday 9:10am vs Coquitlam at Bill Copeland
  2. Thursday 5:35pm vs Ridge Meadows at Burnaby Lake
  3. Friday 9:10am vs Kamloops at Burnaby Lake
  4. Saturday 2:20pm vs Nanaimo at Burnaby Lake

Bantam A & C are practicing for their Provincials July 13-16 in Nanaimo-Parksville.

Vancouver C games are:
Thursday 3 pm vs Peninsula *Loss 6-1
Friday 10:30 am vs Abbottsford WIN 12-4
Saturday 9:30 am Nicola Valley WIN 8-2

Vancouver A2 games are:
Thursday 3 pm vs Ridge Meadows 2 *Tie 2-2
Friday noon vs Cowichan Valley Loss 12-4
Saturday 8 am vs Penticton loss 6-5

Scores will be updated regularly thought the tournaments.

Pee Wee A2…Congratulations for earning the BCLA Fair Play Award! These teams are recognized as the most sportsmanlike in having the most sportsmanship points awarded to them throughout the season. And…the lowest penalty minutes! Great job Team!

VMLA is real proud of all our players. They play well, demonstrate good sportsmanship & have fun out there! We would like to thank all the Coaches & Managers for all their hard efforts to make this a successful season for our kids!

Congratulations to the Bantam C and A 2 teams for fighting their way to Provincials!
The C’s won last night 8-4 against Delta, to take 2 of the three games.
The A2’s won last night 5-4 over Richmond, and won 9-0 over Surrey on Tuesday night in a round robin series.

Bantam Provincials are in Nanaimo & Ocean side July 13-16. VMLA wishes both teams great success!

What an exciting week! Please join us to cheer on the Midgets & Bantams in Playdown Action! Hope to see you there!

*Sunday June 25 Bantam C vs Delta – High Noon at Killarney. Delta up 1 on best of 3 series.
*Monday June 26 Bantam A2 vs Coquitlam 7pm Killarney. Series tied 1-1. It’ll be a nail-biter :=0
*Midget B earned a buy for first round playdowns! Will continue to practice, stay tuned for updates!
*Novice A2 finishing the season on top with 14 wins! They will continue to practice for the Jack Crosby in July.
*Mini Tykes finishing an exciting season with the team party at the water park on Sunday!


VMLA is proud to announce the Pee Wee A2 team won gold in the Penticton Barn Burner tournament this weekend. They played hard, had fun and beat North Okanagan in the final game 8-5. Way to go team!


Lacrosse fans from across Canada and around the globe will have the opportunity to participate in the once-in-a-lifetime 150th Anniversary of Lacrosse Celebration even if they can’t make it to Montreal in person, thanks to free live streaming provided by Sports Canada TV. The re-enacted game (Sat June 17 from 2-4 PM (EST) and lecture series (Fri June 16 9 AM-4 PM and Sat June 17 9 AM-1PM) will both be webcast live at After the event, the footage will be archived and remain available to watch online, free of charge.
