News and Announcements
We are preparing for the* 2017-18 Stealth-BCLA “Lacrosse on the Move”* 50-50 sales during the Vancouver Stealth home games. All net proceeds (50% of gross sales) go lacrosse teams traveling to Minor Box Provincials, Youth Field Provincials, and Team BC Athletes who face financial barriers to travel to National Championships and/or for training purposes preparing for National Championships. For the past three years, approximately $116,000 has been dispersed across the province for these purposes. It is our hope to do even more in 2017-18!
We are looking for 20 keen, assertive, hard-working 50-50 volunteer sellers who are 19 years of age or older. 50-50 volunteers will have free admittance into the games (sellers are done at the end of half time so you’d be able to watch the rest of the game) and a little cash for a snack. Best of all, by volunteering, you’ll be supporting amateur lacrosse athletes from across the Province of BC!
If you are interested in helping, please send an e-mail to email@example.com to let me know which games you’re willing to help:

The Mann Cup was presented by the late Sir Donald Mann, builder of the Canadian Northern Railway, for the Senior Amateur Championship of Canada and was originally a challenge cup. It is a gold cup, appraised at over $60,000 in 1999, and is one of the most valuable trophies in sport.
The Mann Cup was presented by the late Sir Donald Mann, builder of the Canadian Northern Railway, for the Senior Amateur Championship of Canada and was originally a challenge cup. It is a gold cup appraised at over $60,000 in 1999, and is one of the most valuable trophies in sport.
In September, 1925, when the Canadian Lacrosse Association was organized and uniform rules adopted for all competing teams, the Mann Cup was turned over to the C.L.A. by the New Westminster Club who held the trophy at that time. It was then placed into annual competition, with the series alternating from east to west.
The Mike Kelley Memorial Award – A medal presented by Gene Dopp, is given to the player selected by the sports writers as the most valuable to his team during each Mann Cup Series.
